Mission Staff
Years with Vagabond: 4
I wanted to work for Vagabond Missions because I was really involved in my campus ministry in college and through that experience I got to meet missionaries that I not only became friends with, but also got to live with. I also had opportunities to go on a mission trip to Peru, lead Bible studies, and have disciples I was walking with. This and many other experiences shaped and very gradually opened my heart to mission. And when it came to discerning what I was going to do after college I felt God call me to missionary work. So after getting to know about Vagabond through recruitment team coming regularly, and a friend joining while I was in college I loved the ministry. And ultimately everything about Vagabond made me uncomfortable because I was worried about how I was going to relate. But the Lord humbled me in reminding me that he is the one who transforms hearts and I get to be his hands and feet.
I’d be the patron saint of cooking, crying, and hospitality.
My go-to relational ministry activity is cooking with the teens a recipe that they want to learn how to make.
