If you have ever felt Christ calling you to mission work, the Vagabond Missions summer internship is a great way to explore that calling!
Our summer internship program is an opportunity for you to serve in urban youth ministry with a foundation of daily prayer, ongoing formation as a Catholic young adult, and community life. You will learn how to build relationships and share the Gospel with inner-city teens through formation and shadowing our missionaries.
Your weekly tasks will include:
Prayer
Community life formation and expectations
Running outreach park nights
Bible study with a small group of teens
Going out into the streets and neighborhoods to meet teens
Helping missionaries maintain the youth space

Internship FAQ’s

Our mission site in Steubenville, OH, will host the internship.

The internship will start on June 1, 2026, and end on July 31, 2026.

This is a paid internship with housing provided. Pay and mission expenses will be fundraised by the intern beforehand, with fundraising training provided by Vagabond Missions in April. Interns are expected to cover their own travel expenses to and from the mission site.

Applications will close on March 31, 2025. After an interview, the applicant will be notified in 1-2 weeks about whether or not they have been accepted.
