It was so awesome getting to spend time with the missionaries and staff from all over - you can build relationships with everyone from a missionary in another state, to the president! This retreat helps boost morale, and it makes us better missionaries for our young people.”

Lauren’s Story
“We as missionaries spend so much time pouring into our young people, their families, and their communities throughout the year. We dedicate so much of our time to making sure the young people that we are serving feel truly cared for, that sometimes, if we aren't careful, we forget that we need to be poured into as well. This retreat is an opportunity for us as missionaries to feel cared for, to be seen, and to connect with Christ in a new way. It was a frequent, habitual practice for Jesus to withdraw to solitary places to pray to His Father, and it is important that we implement that practice in our own lives. This staff retreat is a time for us to go into the wilderness and pray to our Father, and having that time is essential to our ministry.”
