Vagabond Missions has been partnering with St. Katharine Drexel Parish and the Archdiocese of Philadelphia since 2022 to serve Chester and the young people who live there. Chester has experienced a multitude of difficulties, including declining Catholic Church presence, going from six active churches down to one. Utilizing space in the Catholic Charities Family Center as a youth center space, the missionaries have worked with over 30 young people per week. Since 2024, ten of those young people have come into the Catholic Church. This is the beginning of the Church coming back to Chester and we look forward to many more years of service.
