Meet
St. Josephine Bakhita
Known for her gentle voice and charismatic smile, St. Josephine Margaret Bakhita was kidnapped and sold into slavery as a young adult in her home country of Sudan. She endured incredible suffering and physical abuse at the hands of her many slave-owners. She eventually won her freedom in Italy and joined the Canossian Daughters of Charity. Canonized in 2000 by St. John Paul II, St. Bakhita is the Vagabond Missions Patroness of our Community core value.

We Go Where Others Don’t.
With your help we will be able to continue to go where others often won’t or can’t. In joining the St. Bakhita Monthly Giving Society, you will help us hire more missionaries, expand to more cities, provide quality leadership training, and most importantly, reach more souls with the gospel of Jesus Christ and the fullness of faith found in the Catholic Church.
